What a NEMZIO visit records

Before you do a visit for someone, here is exactly what it records, in plain words.

During a visit

• Photos and videos you take in the app, as you take them (the app doesn't use the gallery). Videos include sound.
• Your phone's location throughout the visit (about once a second), and how accurate it was.
• When each photo was taken, by the phone's clock and by NEMZIO's.
• Which way the phone pointed and how it moved during guided steps.
• Basic details about the phone and app (model, version, permissions) to keep the record reliable.
• The country of the network you upload from.

In more detail: while a visit is open, the app records the phone's location about once a second, with its accuracy, so the record can show where the visit went. Videos include sound. Each file also keeps the details the phone stores with it (such as time and location), and we note the country of the network the evidence was sent from.

Who sees it

The property's owner and the people they share the property or the visit with see it. NEMZIO staff can see it for operations and support, and service providers that process it for NEMZIO (for example for automated checks) receive what they need. NEMZIO keeps it as part of the property's record. Some of it is also processed by the companies listed in our privacy policy (storage, and on paid plans automated analysis), and NEMZIO staff can see it when running the service.

What isn't recorded

NEMZIO doesn't track you outside visits, and nothing is recorded until you start one. The app asks for camera and location permission when a visit needs them, and you can refuse; the visit then can't go ahead.

Your safety

Never take risks for a photo. If a spot isn't safe, choose “I can't safely reach this”: the app offers another spot or skips it, and that alone is never counted against you.
