The invitation code doesn't work
Check it's typed exactly: new codes are 8 characters in two groups of four and never contain I, L, O, 0 or 1. If it still doesn't work, it has probably expired, been used or been withdrawn: ask the owner for a new code.
For security, the app gives the same answer for every code that can't be used, so it can't tell you which of these happened. After several wrong tries, joining pauses for 15 minutes.
Make sure you're signed in to your own account when you enter the code. Older 6-character codes no longer work: ask for a new code.
