What happens when I close or pause a property?
Close a property when the land was sold, the build finished or you no longer need it: open the property, choose Manage, then Close property. Only the primary owner can close or reopen it.
What closing does
- The property becomes read-only. Its records, visits and films stay, and you can view and export them.
- No new visits, requests or reporters. Open requests are withdrawn, and a visit in progress ends: whatever had already arrived is kept as a record.
- Shared proof and film links stop working.
- Nothing is deleted. Deleting data is separate: see Can I delete my data?
Its place in your plan
A closed property keeps using its place in your plan's property allowance for 30 days after you close it, on monthly and yearly plans alike. Then the place frees. Pausing a property (Account, Plan limits) works the same way: its place stays used for 30 days from the day you paused it. This stops one plan being used for more properties by swapping them in and out.
Your other properties are never affected: closing or pausing one never stops visits on a property that is active.
Adding, reopening or resuming during those 30 days
Each of these counts as adding a property, so it needs a free place in your plan. If there isn't one, NEMZIO tells you the day the held place frees, for example "Plot A was closed on 4 Oct; its place frees on 3 Nov.", and shows the way on with the new total: an additional property ($9.99/month on Watch and Watch 5) or a larger plan. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
Moving a property's location
Before the first visit you can move a property's pin or outline freely, for example to fix a pin in the wrong place. Once a visit has started, moving it more than 200 m makes it a different place: add that place as a new property instead. If the location really was set wrong, ask NEMZIO to correct it (support code LOC-220). Renaming a property, or changing its address details, is always fine.
