Privacy and security
Who sees what, how evidence is kept, your data.
Privacy
- Are calls recorded or transcribed?Only if you agree. If a call could be recorded or transcribed, we ask first; if you say no, the call goes on as normal, nothing is recorded, and our team writes notes instead. Saying no never affects your land check.
- Who can access my property in NEMZIO?You, and the people you invite, each within the access you give them. People you share a record code with see a limited view of that one visit.
- Are my property's coordinates public? No. Your property's address and exact location are visible only to you and the people you allow. Shared records show only the general area.
- Can a shared record expose my private information?A shared record shows the visit's date and time, its captures and its checks, with only the general area. It doesn't show your name, the address or the exact location. Anyone with the code can see it, so share it carefully.
- Does NEMZIO sell my data? No. We never sell your photos, documents or location data.
- Can I delete my data?Yes: in the app, Account → Settings → Delete your account (on the website, Account → Data & privacy). There's a waiting period, and you can cancel the deletion until it ends.
- What happens to ID documents in an ID check?ID checks are run by Stripe Identity, which processes the ID document and selfie under its own privacy policy. NEMZIO receives only the result, never the images.
- Does NEMZIO compare my property with other customers'?Not at the moment. NEMZIO doesn't compare your property with other customers' properties, and it never shows you anything about another customer's property.
Security
- How is my evidence stored?Photos, videos and location tracks are kept as they were received, encrypted in transit and at rest by our storage provider, with a digital fingerprint of each file recorded when it arrives so later changes can be detected.
- Why doesn't NEMZIO publish exactly how its checks work?Because publishing the detail would make the checks easier to get around. We explain what each result means for your evidence, not how it's calculated.
- How do I keep my account secure?Use a strong password you don't use elsewhere, and turn on two-step verification under Account.
- How do I report a security problem?Email help@sitewitness.worldofpercy.com with what you found. Please don't include passwords or other secrets in the message.
