People on site
Inviting, permissions, codes, replacing or suspending someone.
The person on site
- Who goes to the site?Someone you choose and invite: a relative, a caretaker, a foreman or your site supervisor. NEMZIO doesn't supply, vet or pay them.
- Does the person on site need a NEMZIO subscription or pay anything? No. The person on site uses the NEMZIO app free and never sees a bill. Only the owner pays.
- Can I use a family member as the person on site?Yes. Many owners use a relative. Anyone you trust who can reach the property and has a smartphone can do it.
- Does NEMZIO provide or vet the person on site? No. You choose and invite them. NEMZIO doesn't employ, vet or pay the people who do visits.
- Can I have more than one person on site?Yes. You can invite several people to a property, each with their own access. How many depends on your plan.
- Can the same person do visits on several of my properties?Yes. Invite them to each property; each invitation adds that property to their app, with the access you choose for it.
- What does the person on site need?A smartphone (Android or iPhone) with the NEMZIO app, their own free account, and location and camera access allowed for the app.
- Can I check the identity of the person on site?Yes, on paid plans. The person on site can complete an ID check (an ID document and a selfie) in the app. You see whether their ID was checked, never their ID images.
- Why would the person on site want to use NEMZIO?Because a record protects them too. It shows what they found and when, so when work was done as agreed, there's evidence of it.
What they can see and do
- Can the person on site see previous visits? Not by default. They see the visits they're asked to do and a confirmation when each is sent. You can choose to let them see more.
- Can the person on site see my findings? No, not unless you share them. Results, findings, claims and your private notes go to you. You can choose to share selected findings on a visit.
- Can I control what the person on site sees and does?Yes. Choose their access when you invite them, and change it at any time: Capture only (the default), Capture + selected results, Property manager, or a custom set.
- What can a property manager do?A property manager can request visits and invite or manage the field reporters on that property. They can't change billing, property settings, viewers or other managers.
- Can I give someone access for just one visit?Yes. Create a one-visit invitation for an open visit. Their access covers that visit only and ends when it's done.
- Who owns the property history? You do, as the owner. People on site add visits to it, but the record, its evidence and its history stay with the property and with you, whoever does the visits.
Invitation codes
- How do I invite someone to take photos of my property?Open the property, choose Invite someone (in the app) or the Invitations section (on the website), give their name and what they can do, then send the code by WhatsApp or text. They join free in the NEMZIO app.
- How do invitation codes work? When you invite someone, NEMZIO creates a one-use code like K7M4-PQ2N and a link. They enter the code (or open the link) in the app, signed in to their own account, and the property appears there.
- Do invitation codes expire?Yes. By default a code works for 7 days (2 days for a one-visit invitation). You can choose a different period, up to 30 days, when you create it.
- Can an invitation code be reused? No. Each code works once. After it's used, it's dead, for everyone, on every phone.
- Can a reporter use the same code on another phone? No. The code works once. To use another phone, they install the app and sign in with the same NEMZIO account; their access belongs to their account, not to the code.
- What happens if someone forwards an invitation?Whoever uses it first joins, once. You see who joined on the property, and if it wasn't the right person you can remove them straight away and send a new code.
- Can an old reporter use their code again? No. A code works once, and a removed reporter's access stays removed. Their old code, their old link and any visit they had open don't let them back in.
- What if a code is lost or has expired?Send a new one. From the property's page you can issue a new code for an unused invitation; the old code stops working at once.
Replacing, suspending or removing
- Can I replace my reporter?Yes, at any time. Choose Replace on their name: they're removed (or suspended), a new one-use code is created for the new person with the same access, and their open visits move to whoever accepts it.
- What happens to my project if I replace the reporter?Nothing is lost or restarted. The property, its history, evidence, milestones, Progress Film and integrations all carry on; only who does the visits changes.
- Does replacing the reporter restart my subscription? No. Your plan, billing date, trial and usage are yours as the owner, and changing who does the visits doesn't touch any of them.
- Can I suspend a reporter's access?Yes. Suspending stops their access straight away, or after the visit they're doing, and you can restore it later with the same permissions.
- Can I remove a reporter's access immediately?Yes. Choose Remove and "Stop now": their access ends at once, on every phone. Anything they had already captured is kept.
- What happens to old evidence after I remove a reporter? It stays in your record, unchanged and attributed to them. Removing someone stops their access; it never deletes what they captured.
- What happens if I have a disagreement with the reporter? You stay in control of the property. You can suspend their access while you sort it out, or replace them, without losing anything in your record.
- What happens if the reporter loses their phone? They install the app on another phone and sign in with the same account; their access continues. If you're worried about the lost phone, you can suspend their access until they're set up again.
- What happens to a visit in progress if I stop someone's access? You choose. "Stop now" ends their access at once; what they'd captured is kept as an interrupted visit and the visit stays open for someone else. "Let them finish" allows that one visit, then their access ends.
- Can I move open visits to someone else?Yes. Use "Hand over visits" to give someone's open visits to another person on the property. Replacing a reporter can hand them over automatically.
